Description

This is a non-firing Thompson M1 Machine gun made with a Philadelphia Ordnance machined steel receiver and original Thompson parts. All trigger group parts such as the magazine release, auto selector and safety work. The bolt does not cycle on this receiver. The Thompson Model 1928, Model M1 and M1A1 versions were all used extensively in WW2 by both US and British troops.

Philadelphia Ordnance is the top manufacturer of Thompson blank guns and reciever kits. They are machined to exact dimensions.

Stocks are walnut and original military issued components.  The weight with magazine is 12.5 lbs.

The rights side of the receiver is stamped with the Philadelphia Ordnance name and address. The left side is stamped “Model of 1928” and “No 38771”  The compensator/flash guard is stamped “Thompson” and “Cutts” and two patent dates..1926 and 1927.

There are a few spots of slight freckling on the reciever. Otherwise the parkerized finish is about 98%. There is an original 30 round clip which is badly rusted. If legal to ship to your state I can include it but it is badly pitted. Original clips are common and can be found for sale for $25-45 dollars on the web.

Unlike cheap replicas, this Philadelphia Ordnance Thompson retains all original parts exclusive of the receiver.
