Here is a wonderful original WW1 cast iron and painted patriotic picture frame with an original WW1 doughboy image. The frame is dated 1917 and is hand painted. It has an attached metal arm on the back for standing the frame up.  The frame is about 6″ wide and 9.5″ high.

I have collected soldier images since the 1980s and this is the most stunning WW1 image I have found. The soldier’s image is clear. He is a handsome lad posed in his Expeditionary Forces uniform. The post card image was taken in Kentucky. The frame, with 1917 date, is perfect for a WW1 image.

If you collect military images this is one to own. Priced incredibly reasonably given rarity and content.
