This holster is an original, 1942 manufactured model 1916 belt holster for the Model 1911 Colt Pistol. This one was made by Enger Kress and is marked on the rear with the maker’s name and date. This is a well-used holster. Its solid, with no tears or missing sticthing. The leather on the body is solid and supple and has a nice patina. The flap is a little crazed and the “US” marking is legible but faint. An early war date and less common manufacturer.
